| 12 | East Lancashire Railway Vintage/Historic Transport Gathering East Lancashire Railway Vintage/Historic Transport Gathering – 2010
The event is a static show based in Bury, 12 miles North of Manchester. Traditionally the event has been a vintage transport gathering but, in my first year of volunteering to organize the event I am trying to attract the owners of more modern 'classic or historic' vehicles so members of the public can enjoy viewing the vehicles that we all enjoy owning. In return exhibitors will receive free train passes for the 11 ½ miles of preserved railway the ELR runs (the number depends on the vehicle type).
The event this year co-incides with a farmers market and the World Black Pudding Throwing Championship in Ramsbottom - if that isn't a draw to attend who knows what is!
Any members interested should contact me (details below) by 1st June 2010 to reserve their places.
