Derby Branch: This anual event takes place at the MFN club at Shipley Gate ('Miles From Nowhere' in the countryside between Ilkeston and Eastwood). It is a popular bike meeting place and this is a popular event with fantastic custom machines on display indoors and out. See www.mfn-club.co.uk/lastchance.htm
We would like to ask as many members as possible to support this show as it is our first time here and a good turnout for this local event would be much appreciated.
We intend to have a branch stand at this event. Derby Branch: Now that the Santa Pod run is off it has been suggested that we participate in the charity 'Ride to the Wall' rememberance event. It's basically a short run from the meeting point at Drayton manor Park to the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas (about 10 miles). Aparently 5000 bikes turned up last year so it should be a great spectacle as well as a worth while event. There is a registration fee (£7.50) which all goes to the charity and it you do have to pre register to get your parking sticker back in the post. Either register your self on line at www.rttw.org or see phil on Wednesdays and give him the money - he will make a block booking - don't leave it long though, there's not much time. We'll probably leave the White Swan about 9am.

Santa Pod - Run What You Brung event **CANCELLED**CANCELLED**

02 October 2010. Through this exhibition, I want to try to achieve a sense of how 'happy and exciting' times were in the 60's. I am desperate for pictures from the 60's era of machines and their riders (Warrington & surrounding areas). I also need memorabilia (clothing, posters, etc). I also need members who can loan their machines for the period ( Bikes, Scooters AND Mopeds) I need around 12 in all. Geoff Kelly, Tel.01925 261015. geoffkelly@btinternet.com

East Lancashire Railway Vintage/Historic Transport Gathering – 2010

The event is a static show based in Bury, 12 miles North of Manchester. Traditionally the event has been a vintage transport gathering but, in my first year of volunteering to organize the event I am trying to attract the owners of more modern 'classic or historic' vehicles so members of the public can enjoy viewing the vehicles that we all enjoy owning. In return exhibitors will receive free train passes for the 11 ½ miles of preserved railway the ELR runs (the number depends on the vehicle type).
The event this year co-incides with a farmers market and the World Black Pudding Throwing Championship in Ramsbottom - if that isn't a draw to attend who knows what is!
Any members interested should contact me (details below) by 1st June 2010 to reserve their places.
