Tiger 100 (T100A)

The T100A was the sportier version of the 5TA, with the bathtub enclosure, replacing the Tiger 100 (T100) model and using the new unit style.

It came equipped with high-compression pistons, revised camshafts, and the Lucas Energy Transfer ignition which powered the ignition coils directly from the alternator allowing the bike to run without a battery. The model carried the same bodywork and running gear as the 5TA - the bathtub fairing, nacelle, and large front mudguard.

In 1961 the power was increased to 34 bhp and the Energy Transfer ignition was dropped in favour of the previous battery and coil system.
