The Brooklands Spring Motorcycle Meeting will be held on Sunday 18th April 2010. Gates open at 1000 and the event will close at 1700. A specially invited entry of machines all with a genuine Brooklands history plus some historic record-breakers will be in action on the famous Test Hill and the steep Members’ Banking in morning and afternoon sessions. As usual, visitors can wander through the Paddock and get close to the action on Test Hill. During the lunch break, visitors will be challenged to try Test Hill…………….on a pedal cycle. Keen mountain bikers can bring their own mount! For younger visitors (12 to 16 years old), there will be a chance to be "A racer’s mechanic" for the day. They will shadow and assist the rider and mechanics of one of the racing machines. For details of how to apply, contact Michael Sands at the-sands@ntlworld.com There will also be an arena trial demonstration, trade stands and a 1930s themed menu in the Sunbeam Tea Room. All the other attractions of the Museum are available, including the Concorde Experience and the newly-arrived Vickers Vimy, the largest biplane in the world today This event is an ideal destination for a Club spring ride.
