Recall of Bonneville Variants extended - Check with your Dealer

Following on from the recall in March this year for various models of the Street Twin and Bonneville T120, Triumph earlier this month extended the recall for machines manufactured up to the 3rd October 2016.

Quite a few machines have already been done, but if yours hasn't yet, and you haven't had a recall notice, then it might be an idea to give your dealer a ring and find out if it needs doing. The affected models are the new Bonneville T100 and T100 Black, Thruxton 1200 and 1200R, Street Twin, Bonneville T120 and T120 Black, and the Street Cup. The frame numbers of those affected are between 731919 and 794582 (inclusive).

The issue is exactly the same as the previous ones recalled, the wiring sealing material of the fuel pump mounting plate could become damaged. This could allow for fuel to escape from the fuel tank and travel along the wiring toward the sub harness to the main harness connector, possibly resulting in an electrical short. This could lead to a fire, which could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Dealers are installing a revised wiring harness to fix this issue.
