Services Available to Members
All the following services are available to Members only, unless where stated.
Nacelle
Nacelle is an A5 (approx) format magazine of about 40 printed pages (excluding the cover), that appears on your doorstep towards the end of each month. It is sent out to all Full, Past, and Honorary Members of the Club and also to all those who have taken out a Magazine Subscription.
Featuring regularly in the magazine are such articles as road tests on both modern and classic Triumphs, technical features on various aspects of motorcycles and motorcycling, members' letters, news from the Branches, and contact information. If rallies, shows, and runs out are more your thing, there are details of the many up and coming events around the country (and also Europe and further afield). There is also a section for members to advertise parts and bikes for sale, or which are wanted. This is not to mention the regular advertisers of Triumph motorcycles, parts, and accessories.
So, if you want to find out more about your bike, ask for help with a technical problem, offer us the benefit of your wisdom, write about your experiences, or just get in touch with other Triumph enthusiasts around the country (and the world) then simply write a letter to the Editor.
Don't forget that if you can't join the Club as a full member (i.e. you don't have a Triumph), then you can still take out a Magazine Subscription - and maybe find a Triumph from the adverts.
Note: The Nacelle mailing list is generated at the start of the month for the magazine that comes out at the end of the month, so if you join halfway through the month, you won't get your first copy of Nacelle until the end of the following month. This is also true for changes of address.
If you wish to advertise in Nacelle, then please contact the Editor via the Contact Form. Small Ads are available free of charge to Members only, however if your a non-Member with a machine or item that would be of special interest to the Club the Editor may include it in the Small Ads.
Club Library
The Club Library is a valuable source of information on Triumph motorcycles. There are numerous original workshop manuals, spares catalogues, factory records, and other information. This reference material is used by the Club to answer all sorts of queries - such as original colour schemes, factory fitted accessories, and what parts go with what engine and frame.
Members of the Club can send technical queries to the Club Librarian (or into the magazine), who will do his best to respond with the required information.
The following is a brief list of some of the material contained in the library:
Workshop Manuals for the Automatic Scooter (T10), Trophy 250 (TR25W), Blazer and Trailblazer (T25SS and T25T), 350/500 Twins, 650 Twins, 750 Bonneville/Tiger 750, Tiger (TR7) and Thunderbird (TR65), Trident (T150), and others.
Parts Catalogues for Tigers 70/80/90, Speed Twin, Tiger 100, 3T Deluxe, TRW-2B Side Valve Twin 500, Thunderbird (from 1950), Trophy (from 1952), T100, T110, T10, Tigress, T15 Terrier, T20 Cub, Trophy TR25W 250, Blazer and Trailblazer, 3TA and 5TA, Daytona T100R/Trophy T100C, 6T/TR6/T120, Bonneville T120R/Tiger 650 TR6R/Trophy 650 TR6C, Bonneville 750/Tiger 750, TSX 750, Trident T150, Trident T150V, X75 Hurricane, T160.
What we can't do is to provide valuations on specific models of Triumph. The trade press is a better indication of what classic Triumphs are going for - and if you have a unique motorcycle then it really depends on how much someone wants to pay for it.
Another thing we can't do is to tell you who currently owns a particular motorcycle. As a Club we do not divulge members' details, not just because of the Data Protection Act.
