B'ham & Wolves Winter ride out
A fairly straight run along the A5 to Hinckley. Weather permitting the return journey may take in some nice lanes around the back of Tamworth and Lichfield. We will be avoiding Motorways.
The round trip from ESSO gateway and back again will be between 72 and 80 miles depending on the return route. If anyone is still needing to squeeze a 70 mile anniversary run in this may well be your last chance. We will be passing Tamworth services on the way if anyone would like to meet us there by prior arrangement.
After a suitable time at the visitor centre we will return to Wolverhampton.
If the road / weather conditions are poor, e.g. ice, snow or heavy rain this run will be cancelled.
We will meet just inside the A5 entrance at Dobbies and meet just inside Tamworth services, but if anyone wants to meet us here they must let me know in advance. I will be on a green 900 Sprint.
As always, most communication will be via Facebook, but I can be contacted at 'aandylight@aol.com' in the event of the weather being uncertain.

Goodyear Post Christmas Meal
February
B'ham & Wolves February Folly.
Weather permitting we will travel through Penkridge, across Cannock Chase, through Admaston and Abbots Bromley, Newborough, Needwood, Anslow and Beam Hill before arriving at Burton-on-Trent. If there has been any ice / snow we will probably go the more direct route along A5 and A38. Return journey will probably follow the more direct route unless it;s a particularly nice day in which case we may stretch it out a bit.
If the road / weather conditions are poor, e.g. severe ice / snow, or heavy rain this run will be postponed.
This is a run of roughly 30 miles each way to one of the rare steaming days at Claymills Victorian Pumping Station held only four or five times a year.
If the weather is bad we will postpone and try and re-arrange for a weekend later in the year.
We will meet just inside the A5 entrance to Dobbies. I will be on a green 900 Sprint or black Tiger 955i.
As always, most communication will be via Facebook, but I can be contacted at 'aandylight@aol.com' in the event of the weather being uncertain.
