Silver Jubilee Bonneville up for Auction in October
Bonhams is holding the Autumn Stafford Sale at the Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show on the 19th and 20th October 2019 at the Staffordshire County Showground, Stafford. Among the lots are two Triumphs, one being a Silver Jubilee Bonneville with very few miles so also almost certainly totally original.
NMM Live Timetable Released
The National Motorcycle Museum Live event is taking place on Saturday 26th October at the National Motorcycle Museum (West Midlands UK) and features Henry Cole and Sam Lovegrove from Shed and Buried alongside Steve Plater and John McGuiness, and Alex George being re-united with Slippery Sam.
Harry Woolridge R.I.P.
We are sad to announce that Harry Woolridge, a Club Vice President and ex-Triumph Meriden employee, has passed away. Best known for his 'Bible' books on the Trophy, and the Speed Twin and Thunderbird, Harry was a quiet person but was always ready to help out a fellow Triumph Owner with technical questions.
Free Cuppa or Soup for TOMCC members during Trifest Skye
Triumph Glasgow were so excited when they heard that there is a Triumph Owners Motorcycle Club National Rally in Skye in September! "It’s great to have even more Triumph Owners parading the roads of Bonnie Scotland! We salute you all!" They decided to do something to help all those on the way up to Skye.
Triumph Reveal UK and US Daytona Moto2 765 LE models
Triumph have today (23/08/2019) revealed both the UK and the US Daytona Moto2™ 765 Limited Edition motorcycles at the Silverstone race track during the MotoGP weekend. The machine is the first licensed by Dorna to carry one of their trademarks. The differences between the models appears purely cosmetic.
New book on Triumph Trident is a Best Seller
The new book "Triumph Trident: The Best Production Racer Ever" has only been out for a week but it's already the publisher's best selling book. Available in the UK for £14.99, in the US for $24.95, and all around the world this book has been written by Club Member and Leicester Branch Chairman Roy Maddox.
Nacelle posting changed to use Paper Envelopes
Nacelle, the monthly Club Magazine of the TOMCC, has now completely changed to using paper envelopes for all its mailings. Previously the UK posting used plastic 'polylopes', but concern over plastic in the environment has prompted the switch for all of the 8,000 (and growing) magazines issued every month.
Tennessee Valley becomes latest TOMCC Branch
The Tennessee Valley TOMCC branch was made official at the start of August 2019 and has formed out of the TOMCC USA branch. The new branch meets at the same place and times as TOMCC USA - Straight to Ale Brewing in Huntsville Alabama on the first Sunday of the month at 1pm. If you in the area go along and say hi.
Triumph Release Rocket 3 R and GT Details
Triumph have released details of their new Rocket 3 models - the R and the GT. This follows on from the Rocket 3 TFC limited edition which sold out within days of being announced. The two models both come with the world's largest production motorcycle engine with more power and torque than the old Rocket 3.
